God's power over nature

If God needed to part seas and rivers he parted them (Ex. 14, Jos. 3). When his people were thirsty  he brought water out of a rock (Exodus 17: 1-7) . When his people were hungry he provided food from heaven (Ex.16) or caused bread and fish to multiply (Jn. 6:1-13). When a storm threatened the lives of his disciples he stilled it (Mk. 4:35-41). When his troops needed more time to consolidate territory gains he extended daylight hours (Jos. 10:12-14).

I remember hearing a story of a Christian rock band that was to perform on a site next to a river in Europe. There had been a lot of rain and the water was rising to dangerous levels and the concert was in danger of being called off for fear of flooding. The band members went down to the river side and 'rebuked' the rising water in the name of Jesus. The water stopped rising and the concert went ahead. God has power over nature.
