God's power over lives

For me this is really exciting.

Throughout the bible there are stories of changed lives. God made the shy Moses a leader, he made David, the youngest son of Jesse into Israel's greatest king, he changed Saul the persecutor to Paul the apostle. Peter the coward (who denied Jesus 3 times), became Peter 'the rock' on which the early Church was built.

And when I look around me today I see God at work in people's lives. I see love winning over fear, I see gratitude replacing greed, I see joy and peace, I see forgiveness and patience and self control and changed habits as a result of Christians opening themselves up to God, confessing and turning away from their shortcomings and asking God to change them through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Does God have power over our lives? He sure does.
